Britain’s biggest Halal Food Festival will be in Birmingham on Saturday, 20th July, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Digbeth Arena. The festival is a fantastic celebration of halal food from various vendors. Not only does the festival have amazing food and drink for you to taste, but there will also be activities for children and a Bake Off Challenge judged by a bake-off contestant!
The food stalls boast a large array of different cuisines from all over the world. Worldly Wingz offers chicken wings smothered in flavorsome and interesting sauces, including Thai Green Curry, Honey Chipotle, Teriyaki, and more. Suru Fusion Wok & Grill offers Japanese-style chicken katsu wraps – a twist on the traditional katsu curry in a portable, tasty wrap.’ Serengeti Grill offers an authentic East African BBQ. They will have Mishkaki, Sekela Chicken, and a special East African salad with Tanzanian sauce.
Tahini Kitchen will make gourmet burgers dripping in sauces and cheese with succulent meat. A burger for the most decadent of foodies. Matcha Eats brings the delightful taste of Rendang to the festival. Voted 30th in the top 50 best street food stalls in London by Time Out in 2015, you don’t want to miss trying this taste of Indonesia. Sharia Jamaican Cuisine is here for all your Caribbean needs. Authentically prepared, a classic food from the Caribbean that is sure to whet your appetite. Chipsy has gourmet loaded fries with a huge variety of toppings for those who like a portion of good finger food.
There is Meat & Eat for meat lovers, serving a wide array of meats and rotisserie lamb from Euro Quality Lambs. Piemezzanae is for all pie lovers. If you enjoy a traditional dish with an intriguing twist, look no further. They serve Calzone pies, burger pies, and a Philly steak pie.
