Mughlai Food Recipes for the Entire Family is one of the most popular blogs on food. It provides simple and easy-to-follow recipes in all Indian regions, and their Mughlai food is famous for its flavors and taste.
Do you want to eat delicious food but not cook? Do you love to cook but hate to spend time in the kitchen?
Mughlai cuisine is a culinary style originating from the Mughal Empire. Mughlai food recipes combine the Persian, Indian, and Central Asian influences of the Mughals and are quite different from their Middle Eastern counterparts.
We live in a world with no fast food restaurants shortage. Some chains in India sell a wide variety of Mughlai foods. But the real challenge is to find authentic, homemade recipes for Mughlai foods. This post features some of my favorite recipes. You’ll find them easy to cook at home, healthy, delicious, and nutritious.
How to cook Mughlai dishes
When it comes to Mughlai cuisine, two things should be on your radar:
The first is the spices used in the dishes. You’ll find a lot of ginger, garlic, coriander, and turmeric. The second is the use of raita or pilau.
While the first is simple enough, the second is more difficult to master. Raita is a rich, savory sauce made from yogurt and spices. It’s a key ingredient in many Mughlai dishes.
You can buy readymade raita, but if you’re cooking yourself, make your own. The secret is consistency.
You’ll need to mix one part yogurt with one part water and add a little salt and sugar. To taste, you can add garam masala, cayenne pepper, or other spices.
Where to buy the ingredients
Mughlai dishes are often prepared with a combination of spices and herbs. To ensure you can find the right ingredients, we’ve created a list of the best shops and markets worldwide where you can find the best spices and herbs.
1. The Spice Market in Melbourne is the largest in Australia and one of the biggest in the world. It’s also the oldest and was opened in
2. The Spice Market is located at 3-11 Bourke Street, Carlton, VIC
3. For more information about the Spice Market, visit their website here. Namaste (India) Namaste is an Indian grocery store that sells spices, herbs, and essential oils.
Ingredients such as coriander, black pepper, salt, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and bay leaves are key components in most Mughlai dishes.
These are all readily available in most grocery stores, and most large grocery chains carry various spices.
You can also purchase spices from online retailers.
Coriander Seeds – The name of the spice is derived from Coriandrum sativum, the Latin name for the herb coriander. It’s best to buy whole seeds rather than powdered form because the flavor is more intense when used fresh. You can use the entire root or grind it before using it in a mortar and pestle. Turmeric – Turmeric is an essential ingredient in curries. It’s best to buy turmeric powder as a fine powder, not ground.
To make the powder, place about 1/16th cup of turmeric in a clean coffee grinder and process until you have a fine powder. You can also make a paste by mixing equal parts of turmeric and water, then storing it in a sealed jar in the refrigerator. The paste will keep for about one week. Saffron – Saffron is the dried stigmas of crocus flowers. Saffron has a strong, warm flavor and is used as a spice in sauces and soups. The herb is expensive and best bought from specialty stores.
